R.E. "Tuck" Duncan
R.E. “Tuck” Duncan, born October 4, 1951, Washington, D.C. Attended New Trier High School, Northfield, IL; Attended University of Kansas, B.S .Journalism '73; and Washburn University J.D. '76. , He was Secretary and Chief Counsel Kansas Board of Tax Appeals '76-'78, Assistant Attorney General, Kansas Alcoholic Beverage Control '79-'81, Assistant City Attorney, City of Topeka, KS, '81-'83, and has been in private practice 1983 to present. Admitted to practice in Kansas, federal district court, circuit courts of appeal, and the United States Supreme Court, Member, Topeka and Kansas Bar Associations, Life Member Washburn Law School Association, past President Shawnee County Kansas Historical Society, Chairman, Topeka Housing Authority 1999-2004, former President, Topeka, Friends of the Zoo, and former member State Municipal Accounting Board, Former member of the Topeka Unified Schools Board of Education 1986-1989.
Mr. Duncan is the principal in R.E. “Tuck” Duncan, Attorney at Law LLC. and is also a principal in the government affairs company Capitol Connection Kansas LLC. He has been since 2006 the Executive Director for the Kansas Public Transit Association. Mr. Duncan has made numerous presentations at SWTA and the National Conference of State Legislatures Mr. Duncan has spoken at various continuing legal education seminars, including his ethics presentation on “View from the Pro Tem Bench,” having served for nearly 10 years as a Shawnee County, KS pro tem judge for domestic violence cases. Married 48 years to Kathleen Allen Duncan, he is a father and proud grandfather.
