Craig Cloud
Craig Cloud is a native of Arkansas and was born in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. He was raised primarily in Fort Smith, Arkansas and is a graduate of Southside High School and WestArk Community College now UA Fort Smith. He graduated from Arkansas Tech University in 1991 with a degree in Economics/Finance. He has worked in the human services field for over 24 years.
In February 2015, shortly after Governor Asa Hutchinson took office, Cloud joined the Arkansas Department of Human Services as Director of the Division of Aging and Adult Services in February 2015 and Director of Aging for the State of Arkansas. After an internal re-organization within the Department of Human Services, Cloud was selected in October 2017 to become the new and first Director of the Provider Services and Quality Assurance state agency.
Cloud worked with the State on the implementation of the Provider-Led Arkansas Shared Savings Entity (PASSE)- a new model of organized care to address the total health care needs of Medicaid beneficiaries who have behavioral health needs or intellectual developmental disabilities. He was involved in the planning and roll out of this new model to providers and clients. Working with three different managed care entities, his team at the state orchestrated the groundwork for what is hoped to be a new model of managed care that echoes the voice of providers while providing best health care practices. Cloud also worked to establish this new state agency that provided regulatory oversight to the provider network in the State of Arkansas.
Cloud joined Friendship Community Care, Inc. (FCC) September 2019, as the Executive Vice President of Strategy and Planning and CEO Designate. After a state mandated one year cooling off period, Craig was named CEO of Friendship Community Care on October 1, 2020.
Cloud makes his home in Russellville, Arkansas. He is married to Amber Cloud, and they have
3 children.
